  1. Mimi,
I love the amazing way you can keep up with all our birthdays, anniversaries, garduations, weddings, baby births, etc. with such ease. In such a large family you seem to exemplify the meaning of "family first." I love that.

    Momma,
What can I say? You are the bestest Momma in the world. I love for the insightfulness you have when it comes to all of us. You know the likes and dislikes of everyone of us! How do you do that? I love you for the way always say "come when you can" and understand the hardships we sometimes have. I love the fact that your still love my daddy! I used to wonder why you would always go and "fix yourself up" when it was time for him to come home. Now I marvel at that idea. I love that even though I am close to half a century (can you believe "the baby" is that old) you still say just the right thing to make me feel good about my decisions/actions. I love you . . . because you are you! Lydia

I love you because you are a part of my family, she's pretty, she lets us swim in the pond. She lets us get fish and lilly pods and because she lets us eat from the cookie jar and because God wants me to.

  8. Happy Birthday Mimi,
There are many reasons I love you but here are a few that are my fav…I love you because you love all of us unconditionally. I also love you because you have a "favorite word" that is down to earth. I love you because without you I would not have my soul mate. :)

  10. Mom Rocks! That sparkle is still there - the one that has made dad's world hop for the past 60+ years. Your beauty and class set the bar -Katherine Hepburn on the Caney. Blessings on your day and it gives me joy knowing this was a special day for you to enjoy the affection of all of us that have been imprinted by your love.

  11. Mom,
Don't have enough space to say all the reasons I love you! It could be your unconditional love for EVERYONE!You have such a nack (sp?) for putting people at ease and making them a part of the family - blood or not. But best of all, you love Daddy and the two of you have shown us how to love and fuss through thick and thin. Hope you have a wonderful day! You certainly deserve it!

  13. Mom, I hope you had a good birthday. I think you are the best Mom around!! I started writing this and just started to cry (don't even know why). You have been a wonderful example for all of us....even though we may sometimes choose not to listen to your advice (that usually comes from a magazine that you have read). You and Dad go out of your way to make every possible event of our family - I promise we will all understand if you start saying no to some of these. We love you. Please take care of yourself!

  14. Mom, we so enjoyed spending the day at Caney as you and Dad reminisced that first date. What a wonderful beginning!! We cannot tell you often enough how much we appreciate you...

    Proverbs 31
An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels... Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future... She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household... She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue...Her children rise up and bless her. Her husband also, and he praises her..

Thanks for the example you have set. We were watching and still learning.
    Love, Leslie
